Droidworks is the first game ever made by Lucas Learning, an educational game company started by George Lucas. In the game you are a person who builds droids for the Rebels. You build them inside one of those Jawa vehicles that drives along the desert of Tatooine. You must build droids to go through a training course, and then destroy the Imperial Assassin Droid factory. For each level you will need a different droid with a different combination of parts. For instance, in one level, everything is dark and you must have a night vision camera or a light camera. In another level you must have treads, and onother you must be able to jump with android legs. You have 87 different parts that you can build your droids with. There are over25 million possible droid combinations. Once you get past the training levels and come to the actual missions, you must watch out for assassin droids on the loose. The will taunt you and zap you if you let them get close enough. They are easy to outrun, but don't let yourself get caught in a corner with on of them on your heels! The educational part of it is that you must know how different things work, such as how gears operate, how mirrors reflect, etc. If you have questions about these different aspects, you can look them up in the "In-Dex". The graphics are a bit sharp and bulky, but clear and easy to use. The sound is great John William's Star Wars music. Plus, you can run the Droidworks CD in your music CD player and listen to the soundtrack. It is pretty fun to drive around and work the puzzles, but for someone over the age of 12, it can be pretty boring and easy. Once you beat it, there is no ambition for playing it again, so the lasting appeal isn't too good. This is a good game if you want a fun but educational game in the Star Wars universe. I would definetly suggest that you download the demo first.

Pros:
Pretty good graphics
Educational and fun
Great music and sound

Cons:
Gets old pretty fast
No reply value after you beat it

Objectionable Content:
For younger gamers, the assassin droids can be somewhat frightening
