Need for Speed 4 is a worthy sequel to the other NFSs. It is my favorite so far because it combines the awesome Hot Persuit mode with a High Stakes mode that allows you to race for $$$ to use on upgrading your car. The graphics are awesome and the realism is great. It's amazing to see your driver through the back window moving his arms as he steers. There is also a lot of interactive tracks with moving scenery. This is by far the best NFS ever made. They keep getting better and better! The sound is realistic and detailed, but isn't extraordinary. It is really fun, but because it is so realistic, it can get annoying when you can't stay on the track. The lasting appeal is great because you can keep upgrading your car for a long time and the 2 player allows you to race with friends. There is quite a bit of variety in car choice, and the ability to change your car color from an infinite range of color is nice. The best thing about this game is the graphics and detail. The reflections are awesome, the detail is better than any racing game that I have seen, and the night driving is as sparkling as the day. NFS5 looks awesome too, but in a different way. I can see myself falling back on this one for car variety and plain speed, where it looks like NFS5: Porsche Unleashed is going to be awesome in a different way. The Need for Speed series are by far my favorite car racing games for the PC. If you like realistic simulation driving, definetly look into this game.
