Dogz and Catz are from the Petz series. There are several versions out, but I am reviewing all of the Petz in one review. The difference in the different versions is mostly were they can play, what they can play with, and the newer versions have better graphics that the older ones. OK, now to the review. With Petz, you can raise virtual dogs and cats who, run around the screen and chase a ball if you throw it to them. You can raise more than one pet at a time and must feed them, play with them, train them, and pet them. Petz is basically a better looking version of those once popular Giga Pets virtual pets. Those got boring after your pet died, and they were retired to a desk to be forgotten (at least that is what happened to mine). Petz is not portable, but it is alot more fun. Petz 3 definetly seems like the best of them all. The graphics are OK, and the animals movements are pretty lifelike, but it really comes down to lasting appeal. This game is pretty fun for a while, but after you raise a few pets and watch them grow up, it gets pretty boring. The sound is nothing to get excited about either. I would definetly advise you not to buy without playing the demo first. The price is quite low for even the latest version, but I would suggest that you spend the $$$ on something that you can enjoy longer (like maybe a real dog).
Pros:
Better than the portable virtual pets
Good if you can't have a real pet
Lifelike movement.
Cute animals
Cheep
Lots of animal playthings
Cons:
Gets old pretty fast
Objectionable Content:
none
